Mrs Fawcett works in Year 5 and brings a lot of experience working in local schools.

Mrs Gates Profile Mrs Gates is a language specialist, having studied Russian and Slavonic Studies at Leeds. She is an experienced teacher who also support tutoring in school. Mrs Gates is Subject Lead for French.

We are exploring ‘Inspiring Women’ this term
This term we will be exploring a whole range of inspiring women from Jane Austin, Frida Kahlo, Marie Chiver, Rosa Parks and many other women who we believe will inspire all of our children. We are exploring their endeavours and seeing how we can learn from them in our own lives in 2019 and beyond.

Carol Service
What a beautiful candle lit service which took place at St Mary’s Church. Thank you to everyone who made the evening special. Thank you for supporting Mary’s Meals too.
Cross Country Club
Our children are continuing to build up their cross country skills on Fridays. Hopefully the children will get a few runs in over the Christmas break.

Angels Advent
The children in Year 3 have made angel pictures which have been displayed all around Kirkby. Each day in the run up to Christmas a new angel will be displayed. Each angel is displayed with a letter. Collect the letters to find a Christmas message.
Santa Parade
Everyone joined Mrs Smith and Mrs Day for a parade around Kirkby. We dressed in our pyjamas and pretended it was the night before Christmas. Despite the rain we had a lovely time.
