Tour of Britain day

What an amazing experience! Because the tour was heading through Kirkby Lonsdale, we came together to make a whole school bike wheel on the field before heading off to watch the riders as they sped past. The atmosphere on the road was amazing as dozens of motorbikes, support cars and media vans whizzed past, all with their horns, sirens and lights going off. It was great to watch the cyclists get closer on the TV and then cheer them on as the continued to Kendal. Mr Yates was supposed to be on his PPA, but I’m sure we saw him in the peloton somewhere….
