Diana Flight BA. (Hons) Cert Ed.

Originally from the south of England, I trained as a history and English teacher in London. In between bringing up four children, I spent most of my career working with pupils with learning and behavioural difficulties. My final post at a large comprehensive in Stockton-on-Tees was as assistant SENCO then head of year 7 with responsibility for transition, working closely with all the feeder primary schools.  My husband’s work meant we kept moving further north, from St Albans to Nottingham to Leeds and finally to the northeast (Yarm). We have only lived in Kirkby Lonsdale for three years, but because of family connections (my in-laws) it has been almost a second home for over thirty years. We feel very fortunate to live here permanently.

I can be seen regularly down by the river walking our retired racing greyhound.
